Kogekar Consulting is a Sydney based consulting firm. Our goal is to become a trusted IT advisor to IT leaders and decision makers. We help leaders establish future direction for the IT group and provide assistance on overcoming difficult IT management challenges. We provide advice that helps our clients achieve IT performance improvements leveraging our extensive IT Management experience.
Hemant Kogekar is principal of the firm. He has over five years of consulting experience and over fifteen years experience as CIO/ IT Director with major Australian and multinational organizations including Suncorp, Citibank and Franklins. He has extensive experience dealing with board of directors and company executives on strategy and governance matters. He has lead significant technology and organisational change initiatives that improved culture and IT capabilities for business success. Hemant has a strong track record of building IT business partnerships and trust.
As a consultant, Hemant has advised large and small organisations spanning Insurance, Media, Funds Management, Wholesale distribution, IT Vendors and Banking. His focus is to assist IT leaders assess their present situation and develop a future direction that aligns business and IT agendas. The process ensures that IT and business leadership team and staff buy-in to support the direction.
Hemant has an in depth understanding of technology and architecture and can communicate effectively from technicians to executives. His extensive IT management experience enables him to understand real-world challenges in implementing change and develop techniques to overcome these challenges.

Jim Brown is the Principal, Change Management for Lorien Partners and an Associate of Kogekar Consulting. He was formerly the Global Partner for Enterprise Transformation at James Martin & Co, a worldwide consulting company and a Principal in Strategic Value Management, a Risk Assessment Company. At James Martin & Co, he was one of the original developers of Enterprise Engineering and Value Streams and has enriched and practiced that methodology for over 19 years.
Jim has significant consulting experience in changing large organisations and developing novel approaches to business and IT strategies and operational effectiveness for the systems, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, retail, distribution, banking and insurance industries. He has worked with over 60 business and government executive teams worldwide, helping them develop innovative approaches to improved business and systems performance.
He has applied Strategic Visioning, Information Engineering, Change Management, Business Reengineering and Process Redesign methods and tools to many major programs. He is the author of Dangerous Undertaking; The Search for Transformation and was a significant contributor to a James Martin book entitled, The Great Transition -- Reinventing The 21st Century Organization. He has published papers on re-engineering including Strategic Re-engineering At Chubb and Enterprise Engineering -- Building 21st Century Organizations.
He was formerly with IBM and Satellite Business Systems in various executive positions. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering, and an MS in Applied Physics.
